Molten Sequencer
February 9th, 2008I’ve been very quiet in these parts pretty much since the middle of last year. But soon I’ll be able to upload a brand new sequencer application for the Mac. It’s called Molten Sequencer.

I finally got hold of the new Jean-Michel Jarre album Téo and Téa. Wow. It’s very fresh, very much a dance record, a tour de force. I think this album will probably get overlooked but it doesn’t deserve to be. There’s a lot going on in each track, very dense clever sound design and rememberable tunes - a modern day Zoolook perhaps. The title track is trance done well. While the album flows well, Partners in Crime is really standout, superb!
Check out this interview where Jean-Michel talks about some of the themes and technology (lots of Roland gear, listen out for those SH201 D-Beam pitch effects)
We’re pleased to announce a brand new track - “Flight” - the result of an exciting internet writing collaboration.

Two of the my tracks were played by DJ Blinky on Kiss FM Tuesday evening (6 Feb). The featured tracks which opened the show were “World Under” and “Curb Crawler”
Here’s the recording. Thanks DJ Blinky!
An interesting 4 part TV series being produced by Jean-Michel Jarre for French TV to air next March. The music is very interesting.
